Charles Lyon Rogers, III was born on June 5, 1895. He was the son of C. Lyon Jr. and Fannie G. Rogers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Second Lieutenant in Company D, 102nd Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 8, 1918 in Argonne, France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Saint Thomas Episcopal Church Cemetery, Owings Mills, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA.
