Carl Wilkins Perkins October 16, 1893 in Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont. He was the son of Charles A. Perkins and Anna Wilkins Perkins. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company C, 102nd Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 24, 1918 in Verdun, France at the age of 25 and is now buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, USA.
