When Carleton Mills Patriquin was born on April 14, 1896, in West Virginia, his father, Burton, was 29 and his mother, Celia, was 30. He had two brothers and two sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in the 103rd Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action in 1918 in Argonne, France and is now buried in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
