Private Kratzki was born on November 3, 1892 and was graduated from Public School 53. Before he was drafted and sent to Camp Upton on December 9, he was employed by the James Macky Company, in Wallabout Market. He was assigned to the 306th Field Artillery and started for France on March 11, 1918. After he arrived "over there" he was transferred to the 102d Machine Gun Battalion. He was Killed in Action on June 2, 1918 in France at the age of 25 and is now buried in Linden Hill United Methodist Cemetery, Ridgewood, Queens County, New York, USA.
