Eugene W. Burroughs was born in 1896. He was the son of Burton C. Burroughs and Estella M. Patch Burroughs. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Mechanic in Company B, 102nd Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. He died in 1918 in France and is now buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Morristown, Lamoille County, Vermont, USA.
