Ben Franklin Brown entered the military service in Georgia. After entering the service, Private Brown received military training in local camps. He was attached to Company "B," 102nd Machine Gun Battalion, with which unit he embarked for overseas service. Private Brown was engaged in active service when killed in battle in the Argonne Forest Sector, France on October 25, 1918. He is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
