Harry Cornelius Leeman was born on August 24, 1893 in Aroma, Hamilton County, Indiana. He was the son of Jabez B. Leeman and Elenora Hartley Leeman. He entered the service on October 5, 1917 in Boblesville, Indiana. He was sent to Camp Taylor, KY and was assigned to Battery B, 325th Field Artillery then was transferred to 4th Battery, Field Artillery Replacement Regiment. He went overseas in April 1918 and served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Battery B, 103rd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 28, 1918 in France during the battle of Chateau-Thierry and is now buried in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Frankton, Madison County, Indiana, USA.
