Winthrop A. Wright was born on April 3, 1896 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He enlisted in the Army on April 16, 1917 in Massachusetts and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Battery F, 102nd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died on December 31, 1918 and is now buried in St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France. He also has a cenotaph located in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
