Gerald R. T. Silk had been employed by the L.A. Derby Company as an electrician before volunteering for army service. He enlisted in the Spring of 1917 with Battery F, 102nd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France.
