Charles G. Fyfe was born on October 14, 1895 in Tarves, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He was the son of Robert Benzie Fyfe and Robert Benzie Fyfe. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in the 102nd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on May 4, 1918 in France at the age of 22 and is now buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Reading, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
