George E. Eklund was born on September 8, 1888. He was the son of Carl G. Eklund and Maria Eklund. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Battery B, 102nd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died on March 17, 1918 at the age of 29 and is now buried in Old Swedish Cemetery, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA.
