John Harvey Dickie was born on January 23, 1891. He was the son of Robert B. Dickie and Agnes C. Dickie. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Battery D, 102nd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 1, 1918 in Saulx-en-Woeure, Meuse, France and is now buried in Forest Hills Cemetery and Crematory, Jamaica Plain, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA. His name is commemorated on the tablet inside a church in Belleau, France and ranked as a Sergeant.
