William E. Kiley was born on July 25, 1897 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of John Kiley and Mary Goff Kiley. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 101st Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died on January 7, 1918 in France at the age of 20 and is now buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA.
