Michael J. Cadigan was born on August 17, 1897 in Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Michael J. Cadigan and Mary E. Buckley Cadigan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in Battery F, 101st Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died on January 1, 1918 at the age of 20 and is now buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA.
