Charles Waldron was born on May 4, 1894 in Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, New York. He was the son of William Waldron and Adaline Lesson Waldron. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died on April 12, 1918 in Ardennes-Apremont, France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, New York, USA. There's a statue of him together with the list of service men who fought in WWI in Schaticoke, New York. The American Legion Post 734 was named in his honor.
