Frank R. Stiles was born on July 11, 1897. He was the son of Henry B. Stiles and Alice H. (Lent) Stiles. He enlisted in the Army on April 14, 1917, and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company L, 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on April 13, 1918, in the Boueq sector in France at the age of 20 and is now buried in Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, Washington County, New York, USA. The American Legion Post 125, AL is named in his honor.
