Walter N. Paradee was born on January 24, 1897 in Colrain, Franklin County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Nelson Francis Paradee and Arculine J. Fortin Paradis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on July 18, 1918 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France.
