William J. Mohr entered the military service in Minnesota on September 19, 1917. He trained at Camp Pike, Arkansas and departed overseas on June 15, 1918. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on October 16, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
