Marcus W. Minor was born on February 2, 1900 in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana. He was the son of Arthur C. Minor and Bessie P. Johnson Kramer. He enlisted in the Army in April 1917 with Company L, 151st Infantry. He received his training at Camp Shelby and had been in France on May 1, 1918. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on October 21, 1918 in France at the age of 18 and is now buried in Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana, USA.
