When Henry Rockwood Knight was born on January 9, 1886, in Worcester, Massachusetts, his father, Henry, was 32 and his mother, Effie, was 32. He married Margaret Mary Buckley on August 25, 1909, in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a First Lieutenant in Company H, 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on April 12, 1918 in France at the age of 32 and is now buried in Hope Cemetery, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA.
