John Joseph Galvin was born on February 2, 1892 in Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Second Lieutenant in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. Lt. Galvin died on April 10, 1918 in France at the age of 26 with his men when the 104th was riddled by German gunfire. He is now buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Willimantic, Windham County, Connecticut, USA.
