Charles Harrison Forrest was born on August 23, 1888 in Indiana. He was the son of Millard Fillmore Forrest and Emily Catherine Worley Forrest. He moved to Fountain County in October 1899 and was a farmer. He entered the military service in September 21, 1917 in Indiana. He was sent to Camp Taylor, KY and later was transferred to Camp Shelby, Miss; assigned to Company A, 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Division. He was sent overseas in May 1918 but was Killed in Action in Argonne Forest, France on October 17, 1918. He is now buried in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg, Fountain County, Indiana, USA
