Francis Firlotte was born on June 15, 1891 in California, son of E. D. C. Thomas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on November 11, 1918 in France at the age of 27.In 1942 the US Bureau of Reclamation removed and reinterred the human remains found in the area which was to be flooded by Shasta Lake. This is one known grave reinterred to Central Valley Cemetery, Shasta Co, CA.
