Harper M. Erdman was born on April 14, 1896. He was the son of Wilson M. Erdman and Anne Erdman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on October 31, 1918 at the age of 22 and is now buried in Libby Cemetery, Libby, Lincoln County, Montana, USA.
