William Williamson was born in 1916 in Maine. He served in the 27th Troop Squadron, 14th US Air Force in the China-Burma-India Theater during WW2.
He was killed in the Battle of Tengchong in China in 1944. He is remembered with a cenotaph in Tengchong, China.

William was "Killed In Action" when his C-47 crashed near Mangshih, China during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
