Ralph R. White was born on March 24, 1896 in Hodgdon, Aroostook County, Maine. He was the son of Turney and Hannah Ella (Harrington) White. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on November 6, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
