When Harry Dewey St. Ledger was born on April 13, 1898, in Somerset, Maine, his father, Michael, was 29 and his mother, Grace, was 22. He had three brothers and one sister. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company E, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 in Champagne-Ardenne, France at the age of 20 and is now buried in Skowhegan Cemetery, Skowhegan, Somerset County, Maine, USA.
