Clarence Leroy “Perk” Perkins was born on November 23, 1899 in Wolfeboro, Carroll County, New Hampshire. He was the son of Alvan A. Perkins and Bertha Perkins. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Machine Gun Company, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on May 10, 1918 in France at the age of 18 and is now buried in South Wolfeboro Cemetery, South Wolfeboro, Carroll County, New Hampshire, USA.
