Romeo Nadeau was born on June 24, 1893 in Bellechasse, Chaudiere-Appalaches Region, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Alexander and Celanire (Samson/Sonson) Nadeau. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company D, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle in April 1918 in France at the age of 24 and is now buried in Mount Calvaire Cemetery, Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire, USA.
