Jesse B. Morris was born on August 7, 1888 in Cumberland, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada. He entered the military service in New York and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Second Lieutenant in Company K, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on January 12, 1918 in France at the age of 29 and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
