Percy Albert Mills entered the military service in California. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a First Lieutenant in the 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died of disease on November 26, 1918 and is now buried in Suresnes American Cemetery, Suresnes, France. He also has a memorial located in Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma, Sonoma County, California, USA.
