John Denis Mallon was born on May 18, 1893 in Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. He was the son of James F. & Elizabeth (Byrne) Mallon. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company B, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 24, 1918 in France at the age of 25 and is now buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA.
