Henry A. Lait was born in 1898. He was the son of Hyman Lait and Rachel Rosen Lait. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company C, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action in 1918 and is now buried in Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, USA. The Tedd-Lait Post of American Legion in Old Town, Maine was named in his honor.
