Frank Klawikowski was born on March 1, 1894 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of John Peter Klawikowski and Martha Laczkowski Klawikowski. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on November 10, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
