Arno E. Hughey was born on December 28, 1896. He was the son of David Hughey and Annie Wilson Hughey. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company E, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 in Chateau-Thierry, France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Whipple Cemetery, Jackman, Somerset County, Maine, USA.
