Fred S. Freeman, Jr. served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company M, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1918 in France and is now buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine, USA.
