Irving J. Farley was born on July 24, 1897 in Loudon, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. He enlisted in the Army on July 17, 1917 in Concord, NH. he served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company C, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on September 14, 1918 in France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA.
