Leroy E. Dow was born in 1891 in Carroll County, New Hampshire. He and his family lived in Moultonborough. He was a member of Company F, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 52nd Infantry Brigade, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action, Sept. 13, 1918, in the first major American offensive of the war at St. Mihiel, France. He is now buried in Melvin Village Community Church Cemetery, Melvin Village, Carroll County, New Hampshire, USA.
