Leo A. Desilets was born on September 8, 1896 in Harrisville, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. He was the son of Ledger & Alma (Bourke/Bourque) Desilets. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company G, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 in France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, USA.
