Thomas P. Dalrymple was born on September 23, 1896 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Rindge Technical School and also attended Burdett Business College in Boston. Corporal Dalrymple was a member of the First Baptist Church." He enlisted in July 1917 as a member of the "Old Eighth,"' but was later transferred to Company A of the 103rd Infantry. He died from his wounds received in battle on November 2, 1918 at the battle in Belleau Woods in France and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
