Raymond P. Codd was born on November 27, 1898. He was the son of Patrick Codd and Margaret Mary Devlin Codd. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company E, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on July 17, 1918 in France at the age of 19 and is now buried in Colfax Cemetery, Colfax, Whitman County, Washington, USA.
