Carl S. Brown was born on March 16, 1899. He was the son of Morrell and Fyla Brown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company F, 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on September 14, 1918 in France at the age of 19 and is now buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, Piscataquis County, Maine, USA.
