Stanley A. Beane entered the military service in Maine. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in the 103rd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on July 17, 1918 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France. He also has a cenotaph located in Bingham Village Cemetery, Bingham, Somerset County, Maine, USA.
