William Luther B. Williams was born on October 30, 1890. He was the son of Samuel Lafayette Williams and Frances Uzilla Chisholm Williams. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 20, 1918 in France at the age of 27 and is now buried in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Pleasant Ridge, Union County, Mississippi, USA.
