Lester J. Wentworth was born on July 15, 1897 in Orange, New Haven County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in Company E, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1918 in France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
