Ralph Bernard Watts was born on November 20, 1896 in Rosedale, Queens County, New York. he entered the military service in Connecticut and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on April 1, 1918 in France at the age of 21 and is now buried in St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
