Henry V. Traynham was born on September 1, 1891. He was the son of J. P. Traynham and Eudora B. Teague Traynham. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company F, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on June 19, 1918 and is now buried in Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Wallburg, Davidson County, North Carolina, USA. His name is also listed on a Word War I memorial in Arbuckle City, CA.
