Charles W. Sutter was born on April 12, 1895 in Hebron, Tolland County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company F, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on February 28, 1918 in France at the age of 22 and is now buried in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA.
