Walter A. Stunneck was born on May 24, 1894 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on October 27, 1918 in France at the age of 24 and is now buried in Woodland Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA.
