He was declared "Missing in Action" on November 3, 1918 and is commemorated on Tablets of the Missing, Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. He also has a cenotaph located in Bohemian National Cemetery, Prague, Saunders County, Nebraska, USA.
